Book Review- Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind
This book works like a History Time machine
When I started with the book it took me back to my school days where we studied about stone- age era and mugged up all the answers of history. But this time, it was also a different experience reading the same thing with a matured mentality makes a difference and here- We grew Up!!!!
I picked up a different perspective and learned how the humankind as a whole started building in different parts of the World simultaneously yet different species were unaware of each other ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฎ
We were at the last stage of life cycle... there were lions who used to hunt then the vultures then if left we can have our dinner
What lead us to dominate the world as a whole is mentioned well in this book I don't want to give you spoiler here ๐ ๐ ๐
But of course the development of Homo Sapiens lead to the destruction of the beautifully nurtured mother earth ๐๐
Otherwise, we would be walking on those comfy mud for which our foot are structured for and we were slippers and shoes free sapiens.
There are many other connections that we can make like it was depicted in the book that at the age of 5 yrs or so the parents leave their children behind and they moved away from their own children and may be that is why this age is set for a child to go to school.(FYI this is my assumption)
And yes Agricultural revolution is a fraud & I am totally convenced by this part and may be you too will get my point when you will read this book.
You know that we were not the only species on this earth and there were many other that's why the book named Sapiens.
Want to know who were the other human breeds check in this book ๐
This book also tells how Sapiens got united and which community got extinct and a bit study was done to find why one community dominated the other and how prayers & money ๐ธ๐ฐ united people
